First Doctor Visit

We had our first OB appointment on January 13th. The entire gang went along at the chance there might be an ultrasound. All the usual first visit stuff. First we went over the financials, again this kid is going to cost us nil. The benefits of a great insurance plan. Next they check the usual fluids…blood and urine. Simple done that before. I had spotting and cramping the entire two weeks we were in Indiana/Michigan so they thought it best to do an ultrasound to make sure the pregnancy was viable. Happy to say everything looked great. The kids got to hear and see the heart beating so that was extra cool for them and us parents. Due date set at August 23rd.
So far this pregnancy has been very different from my first two. Very nauseous ALL day. Having difficulty figuring out how to get relief from the nausea. Not vomiting very often as opposed to the almost daily occurrence with the girls. Can’t tell which is worse the constant vomiting with the girls or this constant sick to your stomach nausea feeling but unable to vomit in order to settle your stomach. Let’s just say they both suck! I have figured out that beans and rice from Tres Margaritas and Ginger Ale seem to make my stomach the happiest. So sticking to the few foods I know I can tolerate. Only two or three weeks to go and I should start feeling better. Yeah! Let’s just hope this nausea is gone before the big parents only trip to Costa Rica.

Thanks for giving us an update on Fuller baby #3. Everyone has been asking me about the pregnancy so keep the news coming as I refer them to your website for the latest.

  • Great stories to keep us 30 year olds on birth control! Thanks Kim.
